Bodhidharma M 470-543
Wild man brought Buddha’s teachings to China, where they crossbred with Taoism and then traveled to Japan to become Zen (Dhyan –> Ch’an –> Zen). Unbroken succession of masters from Buddha to today – many mutually tolerant lines, also in Korea and Vietnam and some still in China – create devices to shatter conditioning and limitations. No beliefs or deities. Has spread to the west now, with many teachers.
