What’s in your heart? … What disturbs you?
You never know God is all you need until God is all you have.
Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.
You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense.
If God only used perfect people, nothing would get done … God will use anybody if you’re available.
God is looking for people to use, and if you can get usable, he will wear you out … The most dangerous prayer you can pray is this: ‘Use me.
Life
Birth: Rick Warren was born in San Jose, California, United States, on January 28, 1954, to Jimmy and Dot Warren.
Realization: Rick Warren says his call to full-time ministry came as a 19-year-old student at California Baptist when, in November 1973, he and a friend skipped classes and drove 350 miles to hear W.A. Criswell preach at the Jack Tar Hotel, in San Francisco. Rick Warren stood in line to shake hands with Criswell afterward. When his turn finally arrived, something unexpected happened. Criswell looked at me with kind, loving eyes and said, quite emphatically, “Young man, I feel led to lay hands on you and pray for you!” He placed his hands on my head and prayed: “Father, I ask that you give this young preacher a double portion of your Spirit. May the church he pastors grow to twice the size of the Dallas church. Bless him greatly, O Lord.
Death: Alive
Teaching Style: The teaching Rick Warren is embodied in his best-selling book, The Purpose Driven Church.
Fame: Rick Warren is the founder and senior pastor of the evangelical megachurch, Saddleback Church, in Lake Forest, California, the fourth largest church in the United States. He is also a bestselling author of many Christian books, including his guide to Christian church ministry and evangelism entitled The Purpose Driven Church, which has spawned a series of conferences on Christian ministry and evangelism. He is perhaps most famously known for the subsequent devotional The Purpose Driven Life, which has 30 million copies in print, and is one of the best selling non-fiction books of all time.
Legacy: Rick Warren considers Billy Graham, Peter Drucker and his own father to be among his mentors. Warren was named by TIME magazine as one of “15 World Leaders Who Mattered Most in 2004” and one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World.
Teachings
Rick Warren said, “You are as happy as you choose to be. You can waste your life on vanities, spend your life on yourself, and invest your life for God”.
According to him “God loves to bring good out of bad. He loves to turn crucifixions into resurrections. Every obstacle is an opportunity. Every problem has potential. Every crisis is an opportunity for ministry. Every hurt God wants to use for His glory.”
He told that “We serve God by serving others. The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige, and position. If you can demand service from others, you’ve arrived. In our self-serving culture with its me-first mentality, acting like a servant is not a popular concept.”
How fitting Rick Warren is seen as a new age guru – he is NOT a Christian evangelical. Warren should repent! He has misled countless people.
I agree with Manfred. Rick Warren is at BEST a semi pelagian despite his private assertions to John Piper that he’s a Calvinist and to Bob DeWaay and Chris Rosebrough that he is a “Kuyper Calvinist” (i.e. a form of Dominionism/Restorationism/Theonomy). He endorses a lot of new age practices so it is very telling that he is listed here.

Rick Warren is not a christian according to the Bible. Instead, he is driven by the spirit of antichrist.
I recommend you to read Warren Smith’s book, The “Wonderful” Deception, where he writes about Warrens faith, life and teachings. Rick Warren is of the same sort as the New Age pastor Robert Schuller.
